The main character
You will create a main characters to lead the mission to the Silver Kingdoms by choosing a name, a background, and a portrait. The background you select will determine the possible outcomes of the story, but there is no “correct” choice. This character will always accompany the party when adventuring. The main character will not always lead conversations, but often will.
Additional party members
While ostensibly a diplomatic mission, the dark rumours about the Silver Kingdom requires martial skill for the party. You will be able to select three additional members to start your initial part of four. You will have opportunities to recruit additional characters, and will be able to adventure with up to six characters.
Traders, blacksmiths, and trainers
While they do not enter abandoned towns or dungeons, the traders on the mission will be available for equipment and supplies. Among the traders will be sages who can help decipher the mysteries you encounter, or train your party in useful skills or magics. An alchemist will be available to help with healing, and a blacksmith will provide equipment repair and maintenance.
Honour guard
The mission includes twenty soldiers to act as an honour guard. These soldiers will setup and tear down the encampment when moving, and will guard the camp with their lives. Soldiers may be ordered to guard entrances to dangerous areas, but will not accompany the party on adventures into towns or dungeons.
Camp Followers
In addition to the already mentioned, the mission includes a number of additional people who act as cooks, cleaners, and messengers. These members can be trusted to keep the camp comfortable, but will not be useful to defend the camp and cannot accompany the party into dangerous situations.
